Looking for some experience here so here it goes. I had been noticing the shape of my right testicle was maybe not quite right. Not really a lump but larger on one end that seemed natural. Went to doctor today and she agreed and sent me for an ultrasound. Of course as I’m sure you are all used to hearing I started to freak out a little. Internally not like going crazy haha. After the ultrasound the tech said everything looked good but she did see a cyst. I had noticed her focusing on a black hole in the greyscale image of my testicle. I’ve googled some ultrasounds and seen some pics of different ultrasound pictures. She did mention that they might order more tests as I did have some mild discomfort from my right testicle and a cyst didn’t explain that. Now I’m just kind of waiting. I understand none of you are a doctor but can anyone give me any personal thoughts on what might be happening? Does this sound familiar? I’m sorry if my formatting is bad.

Should i be worried about this? My stomach hurts a bit but that could also be due to internal bleeding I had after surgery. I've been taking stool softners and eating fiber and what not but still no luck. Any advice? If it helps, I used to go a couple days without pooping and be fine. Now at 22 I go max 3 days or every other day without pooping.

Hi everyone , I was was wondering if some posters here have received BEP chemotherapy and didn't have to go through surgery after. I am quite worried and anxious because I see a lot of posts of people getting RPLND. My doctor tells me he is confident I will not need it and a majority of people actually do not need it. I am stage IIB non seminoma ( 49% embryonal 1% choriocarcinoma ). Thanks a alot.

So I went to my GP on Monday because I've felt a mass and some pain in my left testicle. Size of mass is maybe the size of a marble, maybe a little smaller. And I went for my ultrasound yesterday but the radiologist didn't look at my ultrasound while I was there because he was busy so I'm going to call my GP today. One thing I'm kinda worried about is the ultrasound because the lady said she had a hard time doing the scan on my left testicle which is the one that hurts. It was probably because my sac was tight from being cold and nervous. I'm a slight hypochondriac when it comes to this stuff but I'm extremely worried but there is definitely something there that shouldn't be and it's hard as a rock and gives pain when I inspect it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I'll update if anything comes of this

Edit: just got a call from my GP's office and they said it looks like I have a growth on my testicle and I have a meeting with a urologist in 2 weeks. I know that places can be backed up but I feel like that's a long time to wait

Hey everyone so about two months ago I (23 years old) noticed my right testicle had a noticeable lump on it. Long story short I went and got checked ultra sound and all, and they said I had a varicose vein on my testicle and it was really nothing to worry about. Now the past week I have noticed it has gotten larger like 2-3 times larger, with a surging dull pain. Should this be a concern for a misdiagnosis? Not sure what to do. My ultra sound was around $450 so I’m not trying to go and spend that again and end up having the same diagnosis. Any input would be great. Thank you.

Hey all,

I made a post last week that I had been diagnosed with TC. Just had the surgery yesterday; probably spent about 7 hours in the hospital total. The procedure went smoothly although the doctor did mention that the incision he made is larger than he typically likes to make due to the large size of the cancerous testicle. Regardless I’ve been sent home with pain meds and antibiotics and they definitely help: pain level is about 3 when not moving, 6 when standing up or sitting down.

Anything important to consider additionally during the recovery period? I imagine showering will probably be more of an effort, as well as eating; it’s hard to eat too much with my current appetite. Just anything that’ll make this time a bit easier for everyone (I’ve got someone keeping an eye on me for a couple days)

So I have one testicle remaining as of today. My mass had gotten so large I'm assuming the bad testicle was long since non-functional prior to removal. My free T was a few weeks ago was 223 at age 36.

I feel like my remaining testicle has been shrinking and is getting softer and smaller since this whole issue cropped out. What have been folks experiences with the remaining ball? Bigger, smaller, unchanged?

I know TRT is coming but I'm curious what the remaining ball ends up doing.

He told me that he doesn't think it's cancer, and wants me to schedule a testicular ultrasound. What exactly does "I don't think so" mean?

I know the lump is usually the first sign. I'm getting a testicular ultrasound soon, and although the doctor said I probably don't have cancer and said there's many other things it could be, I just wanna be sure. I've had the lump for a bit over a month now. It's literally the size of a rice grain on the inside. And it hasn't grown or anything, and no pain at all. That's the only symptom I have. So, how long would it take for other symptoms to show up?

Hello, I'm new here and was going to post on here some questions a few weeks ago about some problems I've been having but decided not to and just went straight to the doctors. I'm 23 and have had no past history of pain or problems with my testicles or anything in that area, but a few months ago I found something that I thought was a lump and turned out only to be my epididymis. I have extreme anxiety though and was checking myself down there multiple times a day poking and squeezing to see if i could find anything. This caused pain that freaked me out. So I stopped poking around there for a few weeks and the pain went away but then i got worked up and started checking again. The pain returned, so finally I made a doctors appointment and told her the problems I was having and was given an examination. She check my groin, lymph nodes, and testes and said that she was absolutely certain there was nothing wrong, no cancer, and that I have nothing to worry about. She did say though that if I wanted to, I could go back in for an ultrasound to be extra sure but she was going to leave it up to me. Now slightly before the appointment and after the appointment, I've had this dull ache in my left testicle / groin area that won't really go away, as well as a tugging sensation on my left testicle. The pain isn't horrible but it does bother me, It's like a bruised feeling. I have also noticed that I'm not producing as much semen as normal. The really weird thing is too, when I put on a compression brace for my knee, the pain in my testicle / groin seems to go away? Now I am afraid that something was overlooked here and I am freaking out once again. Does anyone think this could be something cancerous, something non cancerous, or nothing at all? I should also add that I have gained about 30lbs or so in the past 6 or 7 months and can really feel it. Whenever I lift my left leg up, it kind of brings my testicle up with it and it's almost like I'm kicking myself in the testicle when I walk, but for some reason it doesn't happen on the right side, most likely due to the different shape. Some of my clothes are a bit tighter than they used to be as well. If anyone can help me here to ease my mind or inform me of some things I will be truly grateful!

So I just finished my first 5 day stretch of BEP I still need come in once a week for bleomycin, but I was wondering did any of you feel better before starting 2nd cycle. It's hard to explain symptoms of chemo I felt worse as the week went on. 5 days straight is enough. I have mixture of upset stomach, nausea, irritable, tired. I just want to lay in a ball and sleep. It's strange they only give you enough anti nausea drugs for the 5 day stretch. They gave me emend, ondansetron, dexamethasone and one other drug starts with M. I drink plenty of water anything else I can do.

Sorry if this question is misleading for a cancer sub. Basically had some testicular pain in the right epididimus/ vas deferens. Feels very congested and tight. Told doctor and he said I should do a sonogram. Sonogram showed nothing of importance. Then i later found some small, air-soft sized bb lumps behind the right base of the penis. Also, the base of right pelvis is sore-er than left. Health life includes frequent groin scratching due to pinworms, I also suspected that it might have something to do with the way I masturbate (I typically use shaving cream as lube, but before this problem i recently switched brands... so who knows).

I've had eczema for a while and I think that extended to my down area. In the past I'd have the same symptoms down there that I'd have on the rest on my body and after a simple shower they'd go away. Beforehand that's what I treated It as today when I went for a shower, but after coming out there was a slight sting which I'd never had before. I took a few minutes to take a look at it and my first instinct was that it could be TC. My left testicle is red, looks swollen and lumpish while the other looks fairly normal. I'm really concerned about this, but have no idea how to tell my parents that I need to go to a clinic for this in case it could be cancer.

I'm 24 yrs old and was just diagnosed with testicular cancer in my right testicle, which is currently about the size of a large avocado (i neglected it for 6months to 1yr). I'm scheduled for surgery this coming tuesday. Any advice or insight regarding recovery time after surgery, additional testing, likelihood that it has spread outside the testicle, etc?? I need something to ease my mind as medical settings give me quite a bit of anxiety.

Had a pain in my left testicle that lasted an hour then went away. It would come and go for a week, but then started swelling, and started causing pain in my lower back. I went to the urologist and got an ultrasound. The swelling was a solid mass and was scheduled the next day for an orchiectomy. That took place last Saturday. I was informed that my AFP was 523.

Waiting sucks. I couldn't stand having no control, so today I returned to work. It was an uneventful day and I hope there are no negative consequence for the quick return.

To start I kind of have health anxiety, a bit of a hypochondriac

So timeline (ish): earlier this year I was super anxious about having tc, felt a little bump on my lefty. Got it checked out, doc felt it, wasn’t super worried but ordered an US anyways. I got the US but the tech couldn’t find anything. She asked me to point it out but I couldn’t find it by feel either. Wasn’t exactly a “you’re all clear” so it wasnt super comforting. Again, a little anxious when it comes to this stuff so I would constantly feel down there. I started feeling something else, (it was at the bottom of my right ball, but turns out it’s on both, and gets hard when I’m working out or masturbating but otherwise is squishy and soft or whatever, notsure what that is but it doesn’t worry me because it changes hardness) but went to the doctor for something unrelated and had her check again. She didn’t feel anything. Since then I’ve been able to consistently feel a little bump on my left, but can also feel a similar bump on my right. (Position is kind of on the back left and right side, respective to left and right ball) Logic tells that I DID get an ultrasound, so if there was something serious, it wouldn’t have disappeared, and the US surely would have revealed it. But I can’t deny what I am physically feeling with my fingers. Not sure what to do? I go to the doctor a lot for a 19 year old (I had a lot of tooth/jaw/sinus issues last year, got a few blood tests for unrelated stuff a few times over the last 2 years, etc).

My doctor also said I have a weak something or another (relating to a hernia on the left side, and told me to stop lifting heavy, meaning squats, deadlifts, which I used to do regularly. I also had a hernia on my right side in 1st grade) so my mind goes to that as well.

26 yr old. I got diagnosed with testicular cancer last Friday on July 20th. Ive been having some feeling of heaviness on my left testicle for maybe a week or 2, but what really got me worried was when it got hard as a rock. It wasn't painful by any means, just really hard.

I went to urgent care, but they couldn't really do anything without an ultrasound. so i went to the emergency room right after to get the ultra sound and that's where i found out. Mass was 3.6 x 2.8 x 2.5 cm, left testicle measured 5.2 x 3.3 x 3.0 cm. They ran blood work and a CT scan. CT scan came out clean, saying it looks like it was contained to the testicle and hasn't spread.

My orchiectomy is Wednesday morning, and that's currently where i'm at. Ive been googling more than i probably should, and constantly reading reddit posts.

I know i won't really know much until after the pathology, but could it possibly have spread from the day of my diagnosis to now? could have it spread to my lymph nodes? i can't really stop thinking about it. Is the size of the mass a sign of something that is stage 1? did i catch it early enough? I'm not sure if size of the mass is something that can determine what stage it could even be? im just trying to figure out if ill be ok, or if i waited too long? I want to believe that the CT coming out clean is a good sign, but i just don't know.

Anything info helps

Best,

I've had a dull pain in my left testicle for about a month. I found a pea size lump on the top side that isn't attached or hard. How worried should I be about this?

Edit - Quick up date seen a doctor and he said it was spermatocele but went ahead and scheduled an ultrasound to make for sure.

Edit 2 - Had my ultrasound done today was given the all clear and that it was just a cyst on my epididymitis. This has been one of the biggest scares of my life. Remember to check yourself out and don't be scared of going to have the doctor check it out.

I'm not sure if this is how you post on here, but if I'm wrong,oh well. Hello, I'm getting checked for testicular cancer on the 1st. I'm asking this question as if I already have it just to make it easier. Now I promise I'm not trolling, I'm Being 100% serious. First of all, is it bad to masturbate if you have testicular cancer? Question 2 and final question; if you have testicular cancer, is the cancer also in your semen?
